Violin
Violin, also called a fiddle, is a stringed instrument. Its body is made of wood which has hourglass shape and arching top and back. It has four strings. It is played by drawing the bow, which consists of a stick with a ribbon of horsehair strung between its ends, across the strings. It can, however, also be played by plucking the strings. Violin, though having ancient origin, was developed in Italy in 16th century, and later in 18th and 19th century.
