Tabla
Tabla (from Arabic tabl=drum) is an Indian percussion musical instrument, usually played in pairs, where the sound is produced by applying pressure by fingers, palms, or heel of the hand on the membrane of the instrument.  It is believed to be invented in India and is extensively used in Indian classical music.
